Metabolic Health

When your weight won't move, your hormones may be part of the story.

It is not your fault. If the pounds keep creeping on no matter what you try, we help you understand why your body is holding on and build a plan you can live with.

Sound familiar?

Doing everything right, and nothing changes.

“Eat less and move more” alone has never been enough. You likely already know that from experience.

  • Weight gain around the middle
  • Constant hunger or cravings
  • Energy crashes after meals
  • Diets that work, then stop working
  • “Normal” blood sugar, but something still feels off
  • Losing muscle while gaining fat
  • Weight changes alongside perimenopause or low testosterone
  • Being told to lose weight, with no real plan
Our approach

Your hormones and your appetite are linked.

What you eat shapes your hormones, and your hormones shape your appetite.

Our approach is built on education. When you understand what's driving your weight, you can make changes that fit your life, with real food and no bars or shakes.

Four levers

Weight responds to what you eat, when you eat, how much you eat, and why you eat. Most people focus on the wrong one. You will likely need to pull several, and we help you work out which matter most for you.

Measured, not guessed

We look at fasting insulin, A1C, thyroid, sex hormones, and body composition, not just the scale. That shows whether insulin resistance or a hormonal shift is driving the change, and lets us track muscle and fat separately as you progress.

Medication when it helps

When medication is the right tool, your provider may prescribe it, always as part of a plan rather than a replacement for one. The goal is steady progress built around a life you can maintain.

Treatments and tools

Understand it. Measure it. Change it.

Common questions

Straight answers.

Do you prescribe weight-loss medication?

Sometimes, when it's medically appropriate and part of your larger plan. Medication is one tool among several, and we start by understanding what's driving your weight.

Do I have to buy special foods or supplements?

No. No bars, shakes, or meal replacements. You learn the principles of a nutritionally sound diet and build a plan around real food you already eat.

What labs do you check?

Fasting insulin, hemoglobin A1C, glucose, cholesterol, thyroid, sex hormones, inflammation markers, and vitamins, alongside a body composition analysis.

Do you take insurance?

No. AgeWell is cash-pay, which lets us spend more time with you and personalize your care. Many patients check HSA or FSA eligibility with their plan administrator. Our team will explain costs before you begin.
