Women’s Hormone Health

You’re not imagining it. And you don’t have to push through it.

Perimenopause and menopause can change your sleep, mood, energy, weight, desire, and confidence, often years before anyone calls it menopause. We take the time to understand what is changing and build a plan around you.

Common signs

When the pieces don’t add up.

Many women are told their labs are normal. Normal is not the same as good, and common does not mean inevitable.

It might be new anxiety, sleep that no longer restores you, weight gain despite healthy habits, brain fog, or lower desire. Or you may just feel like you no longer recognize yourself.

Our approach

Hormones are one part of the picture.

The goal is the right support for your body, at the right time.

Low progesterone, shifting estrogen, and the hormonal changes of perimenopause and menopause can touch nearly every part of life. Too often women have been told that feeling this way is simply part of getting older, and to accept it. We don’t believe you should.

We look at estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and thyroid alongside metabolism, sleep, stress, and your story. Then we explain what we see, talk honestly about risks and benefits, and help you decide what makes sense for you.

Hormone therapy, chosen with you.

We can replace estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and DHEA in many forms, and we explain every option so you can choose what makes sense for you. Your plan is monitored and adjusted over time, because what works at 48 may not be what you need at 55.

Common questions

Before you decide.

Is hormone therapy safe?

For many healthy women in midlife who have symptoms, the benefits may outweigh the risks. The risks are real but generally small, and they depend on the type, route, timing, and your history. It's a shared decision we make with you.

Is it too late if I’m years past menopause?

Not automatically. The “before 60 or within 10 years” guideline is a starting point for discussion, not a hard cutoff. We start women at various stages after menopause after a careful risk-benefit conversation.

Do you replace my primary care provider or gynecologist?

No. AgeWell specializes in the midlife transition and works alongside your primary care provider and other specialists. We are part of your healthcare team.
